94-026 RESOLUTION NO. 94R-26
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING GARY E. JOHNSON, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC
WORKS, TO APPLY ON BEHALF OF THE CITY FOR
PARTIAL FUNDING OF LANDSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS AT
THE AHAHEIM STADIUM RAIL STATION UNDER THE
NATIONAL SMALL BUSINESS TREE PLANTING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the State of California has funded a project
to provide landscaping for the SR-57/Katella Avenue freeway
interchange adjacent to the Anaheim Stadium Rail Station; and
WHEREAS, the city Council desires to enhance the
Anaheim Rail Station Improvement Project with landscaping
consisting of 87 trees, to be integrated with the adjacent
landscaping of the SR-57/Katella Avenue freeway interchange; and
WHEREAS, funding for such landscaping is available
under the National Small Business Tree Planting Program; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works is the most
appropriate person to represent the City in applying for that
funding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Gary E. Johnson, Director of Public
Works, is hereby authorized and directed to make application on
behalf of the City of Anaheim for funding under the National
Small Business Tree Planting Program for landscaping for the
Anaheim Rail Station Improvement Project, and to execute all
documents which are appropriate and necessary fo'r such
application.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the city of Anaheim this 8th day of
March , 1994.
