A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING APPLICATION
FOR BICYCLE AND/OR PEDESTRIAN FACILITIES
FUNDS AND ADOPTING ITS BICYCLE AND/OR
PEDESTRIAN FACILITIES PLAN
WHEREAS, Section 99233.3 of the California Public
Utilities Code provides that two percent of certain money in each
county's Local Transportation Fund be made available to fund the
development of facilities for the exclusive use of pedestrians
and bicycles; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has planned a bikeway
system in conformance with specifications of the California
Department of Transportation's Planning and Design Criteria for
Bikeways in California and the Regional Transportation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to construct the
master bikeway system within the City, utilizing the funds
available under Section 99233.3 of the California Public
Utilities Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Bikeway System, in conformance with
the specifications of Planning and Design Criteria for Bikeways
in California of the California Department of Transportation
(CalTrans), is hereby adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public
Works/City Engineer is hereby designated the contact person for
the city and is authorized to sign on behalf of the City of
Anaheim all documents necessary and appropriate in connection
with the city's application for funds as set forth herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above-named individual
is hereby authorized and directed to apply for all funds
available to the City of Anaheim, allocated for bikeways and
pedestrian facilities pursuant to Section 99233.3 of the
California Public Utilities Code.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 12th day of
