94-034 RESOLUTION NO. 94R-34
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION OF A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY OR INTERESTS
THEREIN (PEDESTRIAN OVERCROSSING -
CALTRANS).
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is the owner of that
certain property known as Pioneer Park; and,
WHEREAS, the easterly side of Pioneer Park is adjacent
to the Orange Freeway (State Route 57) and a pedestrian
overcrossing over said freeway maintained by the State of
California, Department of Highways (hereinafter CALTRANS); and,
WHEREAS, CALTRANS desires to improve the pedestrian
overcrossing to increase seismic safety; and,
~ WHEREAS, the pedestrian overpass provides an important
~' pedestrian accessway across said freeway to the city of Anaheim
and its inhabitants.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby authorize and direct the Mayor
and City Clerk to execute, on behalf of the city of Anaheim, that
certain deed to the State of California, Department of
Transportation conveying an easement for the installation and
maintenance of a bridge pier and footing for the pedestrian
overcrossing.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 22ndday of March ,
1994.
