94-018 RESOLUTION NO. 94R-18
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM EXTENDING THE PERIOD OF
ELIGIBILITY FOR SEVERANCE PAY
WHEREAS, the city Council, on April 16, 1991, approved
and adopted Resolution No. 91R-112, providing for severance
benefits for employees subject to layoffs; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 92R-16 extended such severance
benefits; and,
WHEREAS, Resolution 92R-16 expired under its terms on
December 31, 1992; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 93R-7 further extended such
severance benefits; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 93R-7 expired under its terms on
December 31, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the conditions which prompted the adoption of
Resolutions Nos. 91R-112, 92R-16, and 93R-7 continue to exist;
and
WHEREAS, the best interests of the City continue to be
served by providing severance benefits.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city Council of
the City of Anaheim as follows:
1. All provisions of Resolution 91R-112 are hereby
extended for the additional period commencing January I, 1994 and
expiring on December 31, 1994.
2. Eligibility for the pay and benefits authorized under
this Resolution shall terminate on December 31, 1994 unless
extended by the City Council;
3. The city Council reserves the right in its sole
discretion to terminate this program at any time.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 15th day of
