A RESOLUTION OF THE URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A PROPOSAL AND
AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF CEDRIC A. WHITE,
JR., AND DAVID S. MASON, AS A JOINT VENTURE,
TO PERFORM CERTAIN APPRAISAL SERVICES FOR THE
CITY AND ITS URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
heretofore established an Urban Renewal Agency consisting of
the members of the City Council and has appointed a Citizens'
Committee as an Urban Renewal Advisory Committee to the City
Council and to the Urban Renewal Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Citizens' Committee, designated the
Urban Renewal Advisory Committee, has expended considerable
time and energy in studying the problems of the City relating
to urban renewal; and
WHEREAS, the said Urban Renewal Advisory Committee
has recommended an appraisal study to determine the present
market value for certain properties in the Committee's "precise
study area" as opposed to specific appraisal reports, as more
particularly set forth in said Committee's "Specifications for
Center City Market Value Study," on file with the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, Cedric A. White, Jr., and David S. Mason,
as a joint venture, have submitted a proposal in letter form
dated August 15, 1962, proposing to perform said appraisal
services for the City and its Urban Renewal Agency upon the
terms and conditions therein set forth; and
WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Agency does find that it
would be for the benefit of the City and in the best public
interest to accept said proposal and to employ said appraisers
to make such appraisal study upon the terms and conditions
set forth in said letter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Urban Renewal
Agency of the City of Anaheim that the letter proposal submitted
by Cedric A. White, Jr., M.A.I. and David S. Mason, M.A.I., as
a joint venture, dated August 15, 1962, and directed to
Mr. Clarence J. Dingman, Urban Renewal Coordinator, City Planning
Department, City of Anaheim, California, proposing to perform
certain appraisal services for the City of Anaheim and its
Urban Renewal Agency upon the terms and conditions and for the
compensation therein set forth, be and the same is hereby
accepted; and that said appraisers be and they are hereby
employed to perform said appraisal services in conformity with
"Specifications for Center City Market Value Study," on file
with the City of Anaheim and referred to in said proposal
letter.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City
. of Anaheim and Chairman of the Urban Renewal Agency and the
City Clerk of the City of Anaheim and Secretary of the

Urban Renewal Agency be and they are hereby authorized to
accept said proposal for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim,
through its Urban Renewal Agency.

Mr. Coons.
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Chairman of the Urban
Renewal Agency of the City of Anaheim approved and signed
said resolution on the 9th day of October,1962.
