A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A LETTER OF
UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL
EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION, GENERAL UNIT, AND THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM PERTAINING TO HOURS OF WORK.
WHEREAS, the Acting Human Resources Director met and
conferred with officials and employee representatives of the
Anaheim Municipal Employees Association, General Unit, to discuss
the effects of the work schedule implemented July 2, 1993 for the
Skilled Crafts Workers; and
WHEREAS, a Letter of Understanding between the parties
dated March 22, 1994 has been prepared and signed, allowing
management to assign employees in the classification of Skilled
Crafts Worker to work five eight-hour work shifts in each seven-
day work period, with varying days off and shift starting and
ending times; allowing the normal two consecutive days off to be
split, upon the mutual agreement of employees and management;
clarifying the normal starting time for event-related shifts, and
providing that painting shall be scheduled, whenever possible, on
weekends; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find
that it is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim to approve
said Letter of Understanding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the Letter of Understanding dated March 22,
1994 between the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association, General
Unit, and the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is attached hereto
and incorporated by reference herein, is hereby approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the city of Anaheim this 12th day of April, 1994.

LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM
AND THE
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION
GENERAL UNIT
AFTER meeting and conferring on the effects of the work
schedule implemented July 2, 1993 for the Skilled Crafts Section at
the Anaheim Stadium the parties have reached the following
AGREEMENT.
THIS AGREEMENT applies to employees in the following job
classification:
Skilled Crafts Workers
ANAHEIM and AMEA agree that employees shall be assigned by
management to work five eight hour work shifts in each seven day
work period with varying days off and shift starting and ending
times in order to provide optimum service to tenants at Anaheim
Stadium.
Employees shall normally have two days off in a row. However
management may split days off whenever mutually agreed to by
employees and management.
When an employee is assigned to work an event related shift,
such shift shall normally begin four hours before the normal
starting time. The time that the house gates open is defined as
the normal starting time.
Employees assigned to perform painting shall be scheduled to
paint whenever possible on weekends.
