I)ECLARING 1TS INTENTION TO APPROVE
AN AMENDMENT TO TIlE CONTRACT

WHEREAS, the Pnblic Employees' Retirerecur Law permits the
paeticipation of pnblic agencies and their employees in the Poblic Employees'
Retirement Systetn by the execution of a contract and sets forth the procedure by which
said poblic agencies may elect to snbjecl lhemseh'es and their' employees to amendment
to said Law; and
WHEREAS, the City Couucil has previoasly entered into a contract with
the Board of Administration ol'tbe Pablic Employees' Retimnent System, dated July 25,
1950 and effective September 1, 1950, which contract has been amended on several
occasions; and
WHEREAS, one of the steps iu the procedures to amend the above-
mentioned contract is the adoption by the City Connell of a resohttion giving notice of
its iqtention to approve an amendment to the contract, which resolution slmll contain a
snmmary o1' the change or changes propused in the cunttact; and
WHEREAS, the following is a slalomcut or the proposed change:
To provide Section 21266 (Post-Retirement Snrvivors
Allowance tn Continne After Remarriage) for local police members;
Section 21365.6 (Pre-Rctirement Optioual Settlement 2 Death
Benelit) liar local fire members; Section 20930.3 (Military Service
Credit as Pnblic Service) Ibr local misccllaaeoos and local police;
aud Article 6 (commencing wilb Sectinn 21380) with benefits
Imyable as described in Section 21382.5 (Fonrtb Level of 1959
Snrvivor I',enelits) fin' local miscellaneons alld local sal'ely members.

of Anaheim that the City Cottaell of the City o1' Anaheim does hereby declare its
intention to approve said amendment to tim cont,'act between 11112 City Connell of the
City of Anaheim and tbc Board of Admiuistration ol'thc Pol}lic Employees' Retirement
System, a copy ol'whicb amendment is attached beretn as "Exhibit A" and by tiffs
reference made a part hereof.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
