A RESOI,UTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ANAItE1M APPROVING A
LEASE AND OPTION AGREEMENT WITH
THE ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY FOR
CITY HALL WEST
WI1EREAS, the City of Auaheim is a charter city, organized and existing
pursuant to the Constitntion of lhe Stale of California; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim 1toosing Anthority (the "Authority") is a public
body corporate and politic organized and existtug nnder California Health and Safety
Code Sections 34240, el seq.; and
WllEREAS, the City Conncil nf the City of Anaheitn (the "City Council")
adopted the Redevelopment Plan for the Alpha Redevelopment Pro. iect CProjcct Alpha")
on Jnly 19, 1973 hy Ordiuance No. 3190, aud as said plan was amended by the City
Conncil on July 20, 1976 by Ordinance No. 3631 and agaiu on Jant.ary 5, 1982 by
Ordinance No. 4300: and
WHEREAS, the Authurity is engaged in activities necessary and
appropriate to carry out such redevelopment plan for Project Alpha; and
WHEREAS, the City aud the Authority huve entered or propose to enter
into that certain Lease and Option Agreement with respect to City Hall West (the
"l,casc"), a copy of which is designated "Exhihit A" and is attached hereto and
incorporated hy this reference herein;
WHEREAS, the City and the Authority propose to evidence their mutual
agreement couceruiug the rights uud obligatious each shall have with respect to the
premises described iu that Lease and Option Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Conncil of the City
of Anaheim that the Lease aud Optiou Agreement between the City of Anaheim and the
Anaheim Housing Authority for the premises described therein is hereby approved, and
the Mayor is herehy authorized aud directed to execute same on behalf of the City of
Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 28t:la day of gune , 1994.
