94-085 RESOLUTION NO. 94R-85
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING APPLICATION
TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
ADMINISTRATION OF THE UNITED STATES
DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE FOR FUNDING FOR
THE ANAHEIM TELECENTER PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the public
interest to apply to the Economic Development Administration
(EDA) of the United States Department of Commerce for a grant for
the Anaheim Telecenter Project in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the project cost is $475,000 and the City is
applying for a federal grant of $25,000; and
WHEREAS, the City will provide a local match of
$14,000, and the private operator, URO Investments, has promised
to contribute $224,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager is
hereby authorized to make application to the EDA for grant funds
for the above-mentioned project, to accept said award on behalf
of the City and to sign all documents required therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City hereby commits as
matching funds for the above project $14,000 cash currently on
hand and available for immediate disbursement upon the award of
the grant by EDA.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 7th day of
