A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
ESTABLISHING EMERGENCY MEDICAL DISPATCHER CERTIFICATION
PAY FOR CERTAIN UNREPRESENTED PART-TIME CLASSIFICATIONS
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report
dated September 13, 1994, that Emergency Medical Dispatcher Certification Pay be
established for certain Unrepresented part-time classifications effective July 1, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that establishing
Emergency Medical Dispatcher Certification Pay for certain Unrepresented part-time
classifications is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim as follows:
1. Employees in the following job classes shall receive emergency medical dispatcher
certification pay upon certification as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher by the County of
Orange Emergency Medical Services/State of California:
Part-Time Fire Communications Shift Supervisor
Part-Time Fire Dispatcher I
Part-Time Fire Dispatcher II
The effective date of emergency medical dispatcher certification pay shall be the first
day of the pay period following verification of eligibility. Upon an employee's initial
certification, the employee will be eligible for emergency medical dispatcher certification
pay until his/her certification expires. Eligibility for certification pay will continue only if
the employee is periodically recertified as provided by the County of Orange Emergency
Medical Services/State of California.
Emergency medical dispatcher certification pay shall be $.29 per hour. Part-Time
employees employed on July 1, 1994 shall be eligible to receive emergency medical
dispatcher pay immediately upon verification of eligibility.

of the City of Anaheim this 13thday of September, 1994.
