A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM APPROVING A LETI'ER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN
THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL
WORKERS, LOCAL 47 AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director met and conferred with officials and
employee representatives of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47,
regarding job security; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, a Letter of Understanding dated August 2, 1994,
delineates an agreement reached regarding job security, to be effective the first pay period
after approval of the Memorandum of Understanding; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in the best
interests of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the Letter of Understanding dated August 2, 1994, between the International
Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47 and the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is
attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, is approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 9th day of August, 1994.

LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING

LOCAL 47
The City of Anaheim (ANAHEIM) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical
Workers (UNION) have met and conferred on job security and have agreed to the following
effective the first pay period after approval of the Memorandum of Understanding (July 2,
1993 through December 28, 1995) by the Anaheim City Council.
1. No layoffs shall be made under the provisions of Article 30, Layoff and
Reemployment of the Memorandum of Understanding for lack of work due
to privatization prior to October 1, 1995.
2. This Letter of Understanding shall not be part of the Memorandum of
Understanding and shall remain in effect through midnight September 30,
1995.
