A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE
ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION
AUTHORITY TO ALLOCATE COMBINED
TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM FUNDS FOR
HARBOR BOULEVARD/CHAPMAN AVENUE
fNTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority
approved a Combined Transportation Funding Program (CTFP) for
fiscal year 1993-94; and
WHEREAS, the program includes $275,000 in fiscal year
1993-94 for an intersection improvement project at Harbor
Boulevard and Chapman Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has adopted a General Plan
Circulation Element which does not preclude implementation of the
MPAH within its jurisdiction; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of
Anaheim, hereby requests the Orange County Transportation
Authority allocate $198,990 of CTFP funds from the Growth
Management Area Program for construction of said project to the
City. This request is in conformance with the CTFP allocation
process and does not exceed ninety (90) percent of the programmed
amount or ninety (90) percent of the construction contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Anaheim,
agrees to fund its share of the Nnprovement costs of the above
indicated fiscal year and any additional costs over the
identified programmed amount.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the city of Anaheim, has
awarded the contract for the project on June 28, 1994 for
$176,950.48.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Anaheim has:
1) designed the project improvements, and 2) completed required
preparatory work in accordance with the standards required by the
City and other affected jurisdictions involved with said project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the remaining ten (10)
percent in funds will be transferred to the City of Anaheim when
construction is completed and a Final Report on the project is
accepted by the Orange County Transportation Authority. The city
of Anaheim agrees to submit the final report to the Orange County
Transportation Authority within one hundred twenty (120) days
after the City's acceptance of the improvements.
THE FOREGOING RESOLgTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the city of Anaheim this 19 day of July
1994 .
