A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 93R-151
WHICH ESTABLISHED A VACATION/PAID LEAVE BUY
BACK PROGRAM FOR CERTAIN CITY EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Department has recommended in a staff report
dated June 14, 1994, that Resolution No. 93R-151 be amended in the manner hereinafter
set forth, effective July 1, 1994; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution No. 93R-151
which established a Vacation/Paid Leave Buy Back Program for certain city employees; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that amending
Resolution No. 93R-151 is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that Resolution No. 93R-151 be amended to read as follows:
"Not withstanding the provisions of Personnel Rule 16, Vacation and Personnel Rule
32, Paid Leave, or any other rule or Resolution to the contrary, any employee in a
classification designated as Confidential or Management may, at his or her request, and
subject to approval of his or her Executive Manager, cash out all or a portion of his or her
accrued vacation or paid leave balance. Employees shall be limited to a maximum of four
(4) requests during the period of this Resolution, and at no time shall any accrual balance
go below zero (0).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all provisions of Rule 16 Vacation and Rule
32 Paid Leave shall remain in full force and effect except to the extent that there is conflict
with the intent of this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the provisions set forth in this Resolution
expire June 30, 1995.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
