A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
APPROVING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE
INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS, LOCAL 47
AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the International Brotherhood of Electrical
Workers, Local 47 have met and conferred and reached an agreement concerning the
health plan choices available to them for the calendar year 2011; and
WHEREAS, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47 is in
agreement with the recommendation contained in said Letter of Understanding; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the Letter of Understanding dated
September 1, 2010 between the parties has been prepared and signed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in the best
interest of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the Letter of Understanding dated September 1, 2010 between the
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47 and the City of Anaheim, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, is hereby
approved.

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 14th day of September 2010, by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Mayor Pringle, Council Members Hernandez, Galloway, Kring
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: Council Member Sidhu
ABSTAIN: NONE

LETTER of UNDERSTANDING
between the
INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD of ELECTRICAL WORKERS, Local #47
and the
CITY of ANAHEIM
The City of Anaheim (ANAHEIM) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers,
Local #47 (IBEW) agree that employees in classifications represented by the IBEW shall be
offered the AETNA Value HMO plan as one of the health plan choices available to them for the
2011 plan year. The parties acknowledge that the AETNA Value HMO plan is not in full
compliance with the schedule of benefits required by the current Memorandum of
Understanding between the City and the IBEW.
