A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM RENUMBERING CERTAIN PERMIT - ELIGIBLE
PARKING DISTRICTS
WHEREAS, Section 14.32.450 of Chapter 14.32 of Title 14 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code authorizes the City Council to, by resolution, designate any streets, or portions
thereof, as "Permit Parking Only" streets; and
WHEREAS, on August 7, 2007 the City Council approved Council Policy 5.7 relating
to Permit Parking recommending that neighborhood residents work with Neighborhood Services
District Teams in identifying solutions and that Permit parking be considered a solution of last resort
to be will be considered only after other options have been evaluated and determined to be infeasible
(the "Council Policy "); and
WHEREAS, the Council Policy sets forth a process to create a Permit- Eligible
Parking District, and, following approval of the District, establishing a process enabling individual
streets within the identified District boundary to request implementation of permit parking; and
WHEREAS, since the Council Policy was adopted, three Permit - Eligible Districts
were created, Anaheim Memorial Area, Kenmore Skywood Area and Cottonwood Bellevue Area;
and
WHEREAS, these three Permit- Eligible Districts were numbered "1 ", "2 ", and
"3 "respectively, creating an overlap in district numbers with pre- exiting parking districts; and
WHEREAS, in order to minimize confusion, the three Permit Eligible Districts shall
be renumbered in accordance with Exhibit "A ", attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the Anaheim Memorial Area, Kenmore Skywood Area and Cottonwood Bellevue Area
Permit- Eligible Parking District be re- numbered accordingly and that the following Resolution shall
supersede any previously adopted Resolutions with respect to the numbering of the Permit Parking
Eligible Districts only and all other remaining provisions of such Resolutions shall remain in force
and effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim this 28th day of September , 2010, by the following roll -call vote:
