A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE WORKFORCE
INVESTMENT ACT TITLE I MASTER SUBGRANT
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND
THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR THE TERM OF MAY
1, 2000 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2002
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim (the "City") has been designated by the Governor of the State
of California as a Local Workforce Investment Area under the Workforce Investment Act (the
"WIA"); and
VVHEREAS, the City is entitled to receive certain funds under the WIA; and
WHEREAS, the State of Califomia requires the approval of a Subgrant Agreement in order for
the City to be eligible to receive these funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Master Subgrant Agreement. That certain WIA Subgrant
Agreement No. R069101 (the "WIA Master Subgrant Agreement") which (i) is attached hereto
as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference and (ii) allocates funds in the amount of
Two Million Forty Thousand One Hundred Forty-Six Dollars ($2,040,146.00) to the City of
Anaheim, is hereby approved.
Section 2. City Manager Authorization. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
the Master Subgrant Agreement, modifications thereto and related documents on behalf of the
City.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION IS PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM THIS 20th DAY
