3055ORIGINAL CITY OF ANAHEIM ORDINANCE NO. 3055 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA APPROVING, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE EXECUTION OF A SECOND AMEND- MENT TO JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT, CITY OF ANAHEIM and ANAHEIM UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT, COMMUNITY CENTER AUTHORITY AND AUTHORIZING THE EXERCISE OF POWERS. WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the Anaheim Union High School District propose to enter into an agreement entitled "Second Amendment to Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement, City of Anaheim and Anaheim Union High School District, Community Center Authority," dated for convenience as of June 1, 1972, providing for the financing and construction of Community Center Additions for the City of Anaheim and the Anaheim Union High School District, together with incidental facilities; THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN as follows: 1. The form of agreement presented to this City Council and entitled "Second Amendment to Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement, City of Anaheim and Anaheim Union High School District, Community Center Authority," dated for convenience as of June 1, 1972, is hereby approved. 1 The City Clerk is directed to file a copy of said form of agreement with the minutes of this meeting, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said agreement in substantially the form hereby approved and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to affix thereto the seal of the City and to attest said agreement. 2. A description, in general terms, of said Community Center Additions is as follows: Said Community Center Additions consist of site acqui- sition and additions to a community center facility, comprising an auditorium and exhibition building for holding fairs or exhibitions for the display of agricultural, livestock, industrial or other products; for holding sports events, athletic contests, contests of skill, exhibitions, spectacles, and community recreation and other public meetings including literary, scientific, recreational or educational meetings or for the discussion of matters of general or public interest, to be constructed on certain premises situated adjacent to the existing Anaheim Community Center. 3. This City Council hereby authorizes the Community Center Authority established pursuant to said agreement to exercise all powers conferred upon the Authority as specified in said agreement and in particular the power to issue revenue bonds for the purpose of the acquisition and construction of said Community Center 2 Additions; provided, however, that revenue bonds issued for said purpose shall not exceed the principal amount of $8,000,000.00. 4. This ordinance is subject to the provisions for referendum contained in Section 1303 of the Charter of the City of Anaheim.
