A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM NAMING A NEWLY CREATED CUL-DE SAC
AS "WEST PLACE"
WHEREAS, Section 34091.1 of the Government Code authorizes
the legislative body of a City by resolution to adopt or change the
name of a City street; and
WHEREAS, Section 15.08.040 of the Anaheim Municipal Code
permits the City Council to name a street if the name conforms with the
provisions of Chapter 15.08 of the Anaheim Municipal Code and the
Address and Street Name Master Plan of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, a cul-de-sac, which has not yet been officially
renamed, was created south of Ball Road and west of Disneyland Drive in
connection with the I-5 widening project and associated street
improvements in the Anaheim Resort.
WHEREAS, the cul-de-sac is now the site of a business which
has adopted the street name ~West Place" as its business address, and
WHEREAS, the naming of this cul-de-sac as "West Place" is
hereby determined to conform to Chapter 15.08 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code and to the Address and Street Master Plan of the City of Anaheim;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the name of that certain
cul-de-sac located south of Ball Road and west of Disneyland Drive be
designated "West Place."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be, and she
hereby is, ordered to forward a copy of this resolution to the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Orange as required by Government Code
Section 34092.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this tTthday ~9~of October, 2000.
