A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM CONCERNING QUALIFICATIONS FOR
MEMBERSHIP ON THE INVESTMENT ADVISORY
COMMISSION ~
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
heretofore adopted Section 1.04.995 of the Anaheim Municipal Code
creating a~-Investment Advisory Commission; and - ~
WHEREAS, subsection .020 of said Section 1.04.995 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code provides that the City Council shall
establish the qualifications for membership on the Investment
Advisory Commission by resolution of the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that, in addition to the required qualifications
set forth in subsection .020 of Section 1.04.995 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code, it is desirable but not mandatory that each
member of the Investment Advisory Commission should be either:
1. A Certified Financial Analyst (CFA); or
2. A Certified Financial Planner (CFP); or
3. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA); or
4. A college graduate possessing a Bachelor's,
Master's or Doctorate degree in Business with
special emphasis in Finance or Economics; or
5. An individual with at least five years
professional experience as an Economist,
Investment Advisor or related field.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the aforesaid qualifications are
meant to serve as guidelines to be considered by the City
Council, together with other qualifications of the candidates, in
making appointments to the Commission. The appointment of a
member who does not meant one or more of the criteria set forth
in paragraphs 1 through 5 above shall be deemed a waiver of such
qualifications for the person so appointed.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION IS APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 11th day of July ,
