A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ADDING THE
CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES
RETIREMENT SYSTEM AS A PLAN
PROVIDER UNDER THE DEFERRED
COMPENSATION PLAN
WHEREAS, on June 7, 1983, the City of Anaheim approved
and adopted Resolution No. 83R-233, establishing a Deferred
Compensation Plan for its employees; and
WHEREAS, the California Public Employees Retirement
System (PERS) is able and willing to offer City employees
additional investment options for deferred compensation funds;
and
WHEREAS, additional investment options will improve the
Deferred Compensation Plan by increasing its flexibility and
adaptability to the varying needs of City employees; and
WHEREAS, PERS has proven to be financially sound and
will reliably perform the services entrusted to it;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim as follows:
1. That PERS is added as a Plan Provider under the
city of Anaheim Deferred Compensation Plan.
2. That the proposed Deferred Compensation Plan
Agreement with PERS is hereby approved, and the City Treasurer is
authorized and directed to execute, and the City Clerk to attest,
the Agreement.
3. That the City Treasurer may, on behalf of the
City, execute any and all agreements and documents necessary to
carry out and implement this resolution, including ~'minor" Plan
amendments (signing modifications to the Deferred Compensation
Plan Agreement regarding operational changes and/or investment
options as approved by the Deferred Compensation Committee).
