96-172 RESOLUTION NO. 96R - 172
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN
RECORDS FROM THE CUSTODY OF THE GENERAL
MANAGER OF THE PUBLIC UTILITIES DEPARTMENT
TO A DOCUMENT DEPOSITORY
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Department maintains tape
recordings of radio transmissions with City work crews and
telephone conversations with utility customers; and
WHEREAS, certain magnasync tapes (Nos. 1180 through
1366) are no longer needed by the Public Utilities Department but
are being retained because of demands by parties in the pending
Santiago Landslide litigation; and
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Department desires to
replace said tapes with new tapes and to discontinue storing said
tapes; and
WHEREAS, a document depository has been established for
the indexing and storage of documents in the Santiago Landslide
litigation.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the custody of the
magnasync tapes (Nos. 1180 through 1366) be, and it is hereby,
removed from the General Manager of the Public Utilities
Department.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the magnasync tapes be, and
they are hereby, authorized and directed to be deposited in the
document depository established for the Santiago Landslide
litigation.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
