A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
BIND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM TO PROGRAM PAHTI-
CIPATION AGREEMENTS TO IMPLEMENT THE ANAHEIM
RESORT NONCONFORMING SIGNAGE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Section 518 of the Charter of the City of
Anaheim permits the City Council to, by ordinance or resolution,
authorize the City Manager to bind the City of Anaheim to certain
contracts without City Council approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore adopted the
Anaheim Resort Nonconforming Signage Program which program
permits the payment of City funds to secure the removal of
nonconforming signs; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore appropriated
money to fund the program.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Manager is
hereby authorized to bind the City of Anaheim to contracts with
owners to secure the removal of nonconforming signs pursuant to
the Anaheim Resort Nonconforming Signage Program to the extent of
appropriations for said purposes in the current or subsequent
City budgets.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 24th day of September ,
1996.
