A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE
ELEMENT OF THE ANAHEIM GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATED
AS AMENDMENT NO. 338, EXHIBIT "A."
WHEREAS, the city of Anaheim, pursuant to the
recommendations of the Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim,
adopted a General Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, on the 21st day of August, 1995, the City
Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did hold a public
hearing to consider a General Plan Amendment. The General Plan
Amendment does consider an amendment to the Land Use Element of the
General Plan to change the current land use designation from
General Commercial to Hillside Medium Density Residential on an
irregularly-shaped parcel of land consisting of approximately 4.2
acres located on the northeast corner of Weir Canyon Road and
Canyon Vista Drive, having approximate frontages of 750 feet on the
north side of Weir Canyon Road and 460 feet on the east side of
Canyon Vista Drive, and further described as Development Area 5 of
the Sycamore Canyon Specific Plan (SP88-1); and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Planning
Commission did duly adopt its Resolution No. PC95-102 containing a
report of its findings, a summary of the evidence presented at said
hearing, and recommending that said Amendment to the General Plan
designated as Amendment No. 338 be adopted by the City Council
changing the land use designation for Development Area 5 The
Sycamore Canyon Specific Plan (SP88-1) in accordance with Exhibit
"A"; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings and recommendations of the City
Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 3rd day of
October, 1995, as the time, and the City Council Chamber in the
Civic Center as the place for a public hearing on said proposed
Amendment No. 338 and did give notice thereof in the manner and as
provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such
public hearing, which hearing was continued to October 17, 1995,
and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be
heard, and did receive evidence and reports and did consider the
recommendations of the City Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment No. 338 changing the land use designation in the
aforedescribed area in accordance with Exhibit "A" on file with the
City should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
city of Anaheim that Amendment No. 338 to the General Plan changing
the land use designation for Development Area 5 The Sycamore Canyon
Specific Plan (SP88-1) in accordance with Exhibit "A" on file with
the City be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be,
and it is hereby, instructed to amend the General Plan Map to
conform to General Plan Amendment No. 338 as herein adopted and
approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 17th day of October, 1995.
