95-138 RESOLUTION NO. 95R- 138
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 93R-151, WHICH
ESTABLISHED A VACATION BUY BACK PROGRAM FOR
CERTAIN CITY EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Department has recommended, in a staff report dated July 11,
1995, that Resolution No. 93R-151 be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth, effective June 30, 1995;
and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof~ the need exists to amend Resolution No. 93R-151, which
established a Vacation Buy Back Program for certain city employees; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that amending Resolution No. 93R-
151 is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that
Resolution No. 93R-151 be amended to read as follows:
"Notwithstanding the provisions of Personnel Rule 16, Vacation, or any other rule or Resolution to
the contrary, any employee in a classification designated as Management may, at his or her request and
subject to approval of his or her Executive Manager, cash out all or a portion of his or her accrued vacation
balance. Employees shall be limited to a maximum of four (4) requests during the period of this Resolution,
and at no time shall any accrual balance go below zero (0).
BE 1T FURTHER RESOLVED that all provisions of Rule 16, Vacation, shall remain in full force
and effect except to the extent of any conflict with the intent of this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the provisions set forth in this Resolution shall expire June 30,
1996.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim this 15 day of July, 1995.
