A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM GRANTING A VARIANCE. (952)
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Ana-
heim did receive a petition from the property owner and/or
Lessee of certain real property situate~n the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
That portion of Lot 7 of Anaheim Extension, as shown on a map of survey
by William Hamel, acknowledged by Alfred Robinson, trustee, recorded in
Los Angeles County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of that certain parcel of land con-
veyed to Fred O. Thompson, et ux, by deed recorded December 2, 1944 in
Book 1286, Page 419, Official Records, in the Office of the County Re-
corder of said Orange County, said point being located on the center line
of Placentia Ave. at a point 213.00 ft. North 0007130" East from the in-
tersection of said center line with the center line of East Center St.;
running thence North 0007130" East, 86.03 ft. along said center line;
thence South 81019130" West, 3.57.13 ft. to a point in the West line of
said parcel; thence South 120081 East, 85.00 ft. along said West line to
the Southwest corner of said parcel; thence North 81019130" East, 338.35
ft. to the point of beginning; EXCEPTING those portions included within
Placentia Ave.'
AND ~HEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a pub-
lic hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said peti-
tion on APril 21. 1958 , notices of which said public
hearings were duly given as required by law and the provisions of
Section 9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investiga-
tion and studies made by itself and in its behalf and after due
consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing,
did adopt its Resolution No. 238 ,recommending to the Oity Coun-
cil of the City of Anaheim that Variance No. 9~2 be granted upon
the conditions stated in said resolution; an
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that:
1. There are exceptional or extraordinary circum-
stances or conditions applicable to the property
involved or to the intended use of the prop~rty
that do not apply generally to the property or
class of use in the same vicinity and zone.
2. That such a variance is necessary for the pre-
servation and enjoyment of a substantial property
right possessed by other property in the same
vicinity and zone and denied to the property in
question.

J. That the granting of such variance will not be
materially detrimental to the public welfare or
injurious to the property or improvements in such
vicinity and zone in which the property is located.
4. That the granting of such variance will not ad-
versely affect the comprehensive general zoning
plan.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Oouncil of the
City of Anaheim that a oonditional zoning varianoe be, and the
same is hereby granted to SAN VICENTE BUILDERS, INC., 121 N.
Placentia Avenue, Anaheim, California, to erect a commercial sign
in front of the property hereinabove described, subject to the
following conditions:

1. That said sign shall conform to the sketch and plot
plan submitted to the City Council and on file with
the City, except that the size and prices of the
homes shall be omitted from the sign.

2. That said sign shall not be lighted after 10:00
o'clock P.M.
The City Council hereby reserves the right to reyoke such
variance permit for good cause or failure of said ownero~M S~sfB~ir
heirs, successors or assigns, to comply with the Anaheim unicipal
Code and regulations and the conditions herein. Said variance is
granted for the term prescribed by the Anaheim Municipal Code unless
otherwise specified herein.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this
20th day of May , 19 58 .
