95-091 RESOLUTION NO. 95R- 91 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETVVEEN THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION (General & Clerical Units) AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director met and conferred with officials and employee representatives of the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association (General & Clerical Units), relating to the effects of the consolidation of the Stadium and Convention Center departments on July 1, 1995; and WHEREAS, the Association is in agreement with the recommendations contained in said Letters of Understanding; and WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the Letters of Understanding dated May 30, 1995, between the parties have been prepared and signed; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letters of Understanding. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the Letters of Understanding dated May 30, 1995 between the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association (General and Clerical Units) and the City of Anaheim, copies of which are attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, are hereby approved. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this ].3t.b_ day of June, 1995. CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM LETTER of UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN the CITY of ANAHEIM and the ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION GENERAL EMPLOYEES The City of Anaheim (CITY) and the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association, General Employees (AMEA), hereinafter referred to as the "PARTIES", having met and conferred on the effects of the consolidation of the Stadium and Convention Center Departments have reached the following Agreement, to be effective July 1, 1995: 1. This Agreement applies to employees in the following job classifications: Event Services Specialist Senior Security Guard Lead Facilities Maintenance Worker Service Lead Worker Lead Security Guard Service Shift Supervisor Lead Stadium Groundskeeper Skilled Crafts Worker ~' Maintenance Painter Stadium Groundskeeper Security Guard Stadium Security Coordinator 2. For the period July 1, 1995 through July 3, 2003, and for the specific and sole purpose of applying the provisions of Article 29 of the Memorandum of Understanding (Reassignment, Layoff, and Re-employment), the Stadium and the Convention Center shall be considered to be separate departments. 3. Thereafter, the Stadium and Convention Center shall be considered a single department for the purpose of applying the provisions of Article 29 of the Memorandum of Understanding · (Reassignment, Layoff, and Re-employment). 4. The PARTIES reserve the right to discuss this issue in the future under the provisions of the Discussion Article of the Memorandum of Understanding.
