A RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
GRANT FUNDS FOR PLAYGROUND REHABILITATION
OF PEARSON PARK AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO TAKE ANY AND ALL ACTIONS NECESSARY
TO IMPLEMENT THE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Legislature and Governor of the State of
California have approved a grant for the project described above;
and
WHEREAS, the California Department of Parks and
Recreation has been delegated the responsibility for the
administration of the grant project and setting up necessary
procedures; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California
Department of Parks and Recreation require the Grantee to certify
by resolution the approval of its application(s) before
submission of said application(s) to the State; and
WHEREAS, the Grantee will enter into a contract with
the State of California for the subject project(s);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that:
1. The filing of an application for local assistance for
playground rehabilitation of Pearson Park is hereby approved in
the amount of One Hundred Twenty-Three Thousand One Hundred
Twenty-Five Dollars ($123,125.00).
2. The City of Anaheim hereby certifies that it has
reviewed and understands the assurances and certification
required in the application form, a copy which is attached hereto
as Exhibit A.
3. The City of Anaheim certifies that it has or will have
sufficient funds to operate and maintain the project.
4. The City of Anaheim certifies that it has reviewed and
understands the General Provisions contained in the Project
Contract shown in the Procedural Guide, a copy of which is on
file in the Office of the Community Services Department.
5. The City Manager is hereby appointed as agent for the
City of Anaheim to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit
all documents including, but not limited to applications,
agreements, payment requests, and other required documents which
may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned
project.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim thisl2th day of December
