SECTION 1 That Ordinance No. 261
Of the City of Anaheim,' entitled "An
Ordinalice Fixing the Time and place
for the Payment of Rates for Electric.
Lights, Electric Energy and Water Fur-
nished By the City of Anaheim, Creating
the Office of Rate Collector, Defining his

adopted on the 27th day of March, 1913,

adding a new section thereto, to be num-
bered and designated "Section 6A" which
said Section 6A shall read as follows:

NANCE NO. 261 OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM, ENTITLED "AN ORDI-

PLACE FOR THE PAYMENT OF
RATES FOR ELECTRIC LIGHTS,
LLECTRIC ENERGY AND WATER
FURNISHED BY THE CITY OF AN-
AHEIM, CREATING THE OFFICE OF
I -LATE COLLECTOR, DEFINING HIS
DU'T'IES, PRESCRIBING HIS QUALI-
FICATIONS AND FIXING HIS COM-
PENSA'T'ION," PASSED AND ADOPT-
ED ON THE 27th DAY OF MARCH,
1913, BY ADDING THREE NEW SEC-
TIONS
EGTIONS THERETO.
THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 That Ordinance No. 261
of the City of Anaheim, entitled "An
Ordinance Fixing the Time and place
for the Payment of Rates for Electric
Lights, Electric Energy and Water Fur-
nished By the City of Anaheim, Creating
the Office of Rate Collector, Defining his
duties, prescribing his Qualifications and
Fixing his Compensation," passed and
adopted on the 27thday of March, 1913,
be and the same is hereby amended by
adding a new section thereto, to be num-
bered and designated "Section 6A" which
said Section 6A shall read as follows:
"SECTION 6A. The Rate -Collector
shall, between the 10th and the 25th days
of each month, examine and read the
meters of all consumers of water and
electric light and electric energy furn-
ished by the City of Anaheim, and as-
certain the amount of water, electric light
and electric energy so furnished and de-
livered to each of such consumers, and
compute the amount due, or to be come
due from each of such consumers to
said city, according to the ordinances
of said City, resolutions of the Board of
Trustees thereof or any contract pur-
suant to which any such electric energy,
electric light or water shall be so fur-
nished or delivered to such consumers."
SECTION 2. That said Ordinance No.
261 is hereby amended by adding a new
section thereto, to be numbered and des-
ignated "Section 6B,". which said Section
6B shall read as follows:
"SECTION 6B. On or before the 1st
day of each month, the rate -collector
shall report in writing to the City Clerk of
said City, the amount of Electric Energy,
Electric Light, or water so furnished to
each of such consumers, and the amount
due to the said City from each of said
consumers therefor, to the City Clerk of
the City of Anaheim, who shall charge the
Rate Collector with the amount thereof."
SECTION S. That said Ordinance No.
261 is hereby amended by adding a new
section thereto, to be numbered and des-
ignated "Section 6C" which said Sec-
tion 6C shall read as follows:
".SECTION 6C. Any owner of real
`property within the City of Anaheim,
which has not been previously served
with electric energy, electric lights or
water by said City, who shall desire to
purchase electric energy, electric light or
water from said City to be delivered upon
such premises within said City, which
said premises are properly wired for such
electric energy or electric light or which
is properly equipped with plumbing for
the delivery of water thereon, as the case
may be, in accordance with ordinances of
said City or Resolutions of the Board of
Trustees thereof, shall make application
therefor to the Rate Collector and the
Rate Collector shall thereupon cause con-
nection with the electrical distribution
system or water mains of said city to be
made, and any such owner of such real
property desiring to discontinue the ser-
vice of electric light, electric energy,
or water furnished 'by said City, shall
notify the Rate Collector of his inten-
tion to discontinue such service and the
Rate Collector shall immediately discon-
nect the premises upon which such elec- ,
tric energy, electric light or water was
so delivered from the electric distribu-
tion system or the water mains of said
City, as the case may be and in default
of such owner to so notify the Rate Col-
lector to so discontinue such service, he
shall be chargeable for the same in ac-
cordance with the ordinances of said
City.
SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts
of Ordinances in conflict with the pro-
visions of this ordinance are hereby re-
pealed.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk of the -
City of Anaheim shall certify to the pas-
sage of this ordinance, and cause the
same to be published once in the "Ana-
heim Gazette," a weekly newspaper of a
general character, printed, published and
circulated in the City of Anaheim, and
thirty days from and after its final pas-
sage it shall take effect and be in full
force.
The foregoing ordinance is signed, ap-
proved and attested by me this 22nd day
of June, 1916.
