A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM DESIGNATING A REDEVELOPMENT SURVEY
AREA FOR STUDY PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim, California (the
"Council has adopted an ordinance finding the need for a redevelopment agency
to function in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, a redevelopment agency has been duly organized as the
Redevelopment Agency for the City of Anaheim (the "Agency with the Council
sitting as said Agency; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 33310 of the California Health and
Safety Code (the "CRL the Council, as the legislative body, may designate a
redevelopment survey area for study purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Council appointed the Redevelopment Commission to make
recommendations relative to Agency activities including the designation of a
redevelopment survey area; and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Commission adopted Resolution No.
CRC97 -01 on April 23, 1997, recommending that the Council adopt a survey area;
and
WHEREAS, said redevelopment survey area is graphically depicted on
Exhibit "A" (the "Survey Area attached hereto, and is incorporated herein by this
reference; and
WHEREAS, the Survey Area depicted on Exhibit "A" requires study to
determine if the formation of a redevelopment project area is feasible; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with CRL Section 33322, the Planning
Commission of the City of Anaheim shall, at the direction of the Council, select a
project area from within the boundaries of the Survey Area and formulate a
preliminary plan for the area so selected.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council hereby resolves as follows:
1. The area depicted in Exhibit "A" requires study to determine if a
redevelopment project, or projects, within said area is feasible.
2. The area depicted in Exhibit "A" and referenced in Section 1 herein is
designated as a redevelopment Survey Area.

3. The Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim be authorized and directed,
in cooperation with this Council, the Agency and the Redevelopment Commission,
to select a redevelopment project area from within the boundaries of the Survey
Area, and to formulate a preliminary plan for the area so selected for submittal to
the Redevelopment Commission.
