A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY ANAHEIM
APPROVING THE SALE OF CERTAIN CITY OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED
AT AND MORE COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1931 EAST ROSEWOOD AVENUE,
ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA (APN 073-211-38)
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim acquired title to the property
located at 1931 East Rosewood Avenue, Anaheim, CA (APN 073-211-38)
consisting of approximately 6,986.39 square feet (hereinafter
~Propert~') as part of the street widening for the State College
Boulevard/SR-91 Freeway Improvement Project;
WHEREAS, said Property is no longer required for municipal
purposes;
WHEREAS, no agency identified in Government Code ~54222, et seq.
has, within 60 days of notification by the City, notified the City of
Anaheim of its intent to purchase the Property; and
WHEREAS, no adequately documented and timely bids were submitted
to the City Clerk by 2:00 p.m. on December 28, 2000 in accordance with
Resolution No. 2000R -248.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Property shall be
advertised for sale and sold by sealed bid. Said bids shall be opened
at 2:00 p.m. on January 18, 2001 in the Office of the City Clerk
located at 200 South Anaheim Boulevard, Anaheim, CA 92805. Ail bids
shall be accompanied by deposit in the form of a certified or
cashier's check in the sum of at least 10 percent of the bid price.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council must reject any bid which
does not equal or exceed the appraised value of the Property
($168,400.00) unless the City Council, by at least a two-thirds vote,
determines the sale of the Property at a lesser amount to be in the
best interests of the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall open said bids
and forward qualified bids to the Director of Public Works for
evaluation and recommendation of the bid to be accepted by the City
Council. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 9th day of January, 2001.
