FOLLOWS: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4096 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMEND - <br />IN TITLE I, CHAPTER 1.041, BY ADDING THERETO <br />SECTIONS 1.04.960, 1.04.9701 1.04.980 AND <br />1.04.990 TO THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE PER- <br />TAINING TO A SENIOR CITIZEN COMMISSION. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS <br />SECTION 1. <br />That new Sections 1.04.960, 1.04.970, 1.04.980 and <br />1.04.990 of Chapter 1.04, Title I of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, <br />and they are hereby, added to read as follows: <br />01.04.960 SENIOR CITIZEN COMMISSION - CREATION <br />It is hereby established, pursuant to <br />Section 900 of the Charter of the City of Anaheim, an <br />advisory body which shall be called the Senior Citizen <br />Commission. <br />1.04.970 SENIOR CITIZEN COMMISSION MEMBERSHIP <br />AND TERM <br />.010 The Senior Citizen Commission shall <br />consist of seven (7) members, sixty (60) years of age <br />and over, who shall be residents of the City of Anaheim, <br />none of whom shall hold any paid office or employment <br />in the City government. <br />.020 The members of the Senior Citizen <br />Commission shall be appointed by the City Council <br />from qualified electors in the City of Anaheim and <br />shall be subject to removal by motion. of the City <br />Council adopted by the affirmative votes of a major- <br />ity of the total membership thereof. <br />.030 Each member of the Senior Citizen <br />Commission shall serve a term of three (3) years and <br />until their respective successors are appointed and <br />qualified; provided, however, that the terms of the <br />Commission members first appointed shall expire as <br />designated by the City Council at the time of their <br />appointments as follows: <br />Three (3) on the thirtieth day of <br />June of the first year following their appointment; <br />two (2) on the thirtieth day of June of the second <br />year following appointment; two (2) on the thirtieth <br />day of June of the third year following appointment. <br />-1- <br />
