An Ordinance for the protection of life and property from fire and establishing regulations concerning the erection and moving of buildings within the corporate limits of the City of Anaheim, The Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim do ordain as follows: Soction, I, ---- That all that portion of the City of Anaheim boundel and describedas follows:---- Commencing at the point of intersection of the center lines of Clemintena street.and Chestnut street,thence along the. centerline of said Chestnut street to the point o' intersection of the center lines of Chestnut street and Los Angeles street,thence easterly in the same direction to the point sof intersection of the center line of Claudina strest,thence northerly along the center line of Claudina street to a point distant one handred and ,thirty five feet south of the south line of Center street,thence easterlyand parallel with Center street to the point of intersection of the center line of Olive street, thence northerly along the center line of Olive street to a point distant one hundred and twenty five feet north of the north line o of Center street,thenee westerly and parallel with Center street to the intersection''of the center line of Hermine street,thence northerly along the center line of Harmine street to the point of intersection of the center lines of Hermine street. and Chartres street .the ee, along the center line- of Chartres street to the t point d#` "intersectioh of the center lines of Chartres street and Clemintena street,thence along the center line of Clemintena point of intersection of the center lines of Chartres street and Clemintena street,thence along the center line of Clemintena street to the point of beginning,shall be and is the fire limits of the City of Anaheim; Section 2, ----No building or other structure of whatever nature constructed of wood exgept privies and water closets shall be erected or placed or movedithin or into said fire limits or any part thersof,exd`ept by permission of the Board of',Trustees granted by resolution entered on the Clerks records afj..vAhe Board of Trustees of the City of Anahe im,provided that this section shall not be construed to prohibit the moving of py such building or structure that is now within said fire limits to any place 6 without said fire limits,but in such cases any person or persons desirous of moving any building or structure from xickka tt within said fire limits shall first apply to the Board of Trustees for a permit which permit shall state the time within which and the route along; which the building or structure may be Moved and such person or persons shall be governed thereby in such removal; Section 3,---- It shall be and it is hereby made unlawful for any person or persons to make any addition to or alteration of any wooden building or structure within said fire limits except by permission of the Board of Trustees granted by resolution and entered on the Clerks Records of the Board of Trustees of the (lity of Anaheim,provided that such additions or alterations do not cost more than one hundred and fifty dollars; Section 4,---- Any building or other stract,are of whatever nature constructed of wood erected or placed or moved within the said fire limits or any part thereof contrary to the provisions of this ordinance is hereby declared a public nuisance and shall be iLunediately removed; Section 5,---- Any person firm or corporation who shall violate or neglect or refuse to comply with any provision of this ordinance shall be deemed, guilty of a misdemeanor and on convic— tion tion thereof shall be fined in any suns not less than fifty dollars and not exceeding three hundred dollars or be imprisoned in the City Jail not to exceed three months or be both so fined and impris oned at the d.escretion of the Court; Section G,---- Every day during which any violation of this ordinance continues shall be considered and construed as a separate offence and be punished as provided in section five of this ordinance; f Any person firm or corporation who shall Section 5, ---- -with any provision of this violates or neglect or refuse to comply ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and on CO v ic- tion thereof shall be fined in any sum not less than fifty ars and not exceeding three hundred :dollars or be imprisoned ned indthe impris City Jail not to exceed three months or be both oned at the descretion of the Court; Section G,---- Every day during which any violation of this ordinances continues shall be considered and construed as a separate offence and be punished as Provided in section five of this ordinance; Section 7,---- The pity Clerk shall certify to the passage of ° this ordinance and cause the same to be published once in the Anaheim Gazette a newspaper printed and published in the said City of Anaheim,and thereafter and thereupon it shall take effect and be in full force. s' i Ai s &.�� e-Z�ee r President—of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim.
