RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY APPROVING THE MII)-TERM REVIEW AND
EVALUATION OF THE AGENCY'S EXISTING AB 1290
IMPLEMENTATION PLAN TO THE REDEVELOPMENT
PLANS FOR ALL REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREAS
AND THE UPDATE TO AB 1290 IMPLEMENTATION PLAN
FOR ALL PROJECT AREAS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
SECTION 33490 OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
LAW, AND MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS IN
CONNECTION THEREWITH
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency (the ~Agency~) is a community
redevelopment agency organized and existing under the California Community Redevelopment
Law, Health and Safety Code Sections 33000, et seq. (the 'CRL") and has been authorized to
transact business and exercise the powers of a redevelopment agency pursuant to action of the
City Council of the City of Anaheim (the 'City Council"); and
WHEREAS, the Agency is engaged in activities necessary and appropriate to carry out the
Redevelopment Plan for each of the Redevelopment Project Areas in the City, including the
following: (i) the Alpha Redevelopment Plan for the Alpha Redevelopment Project, which was
adopted by the City Council on July 19, 1973, and thereafter amended on July 20, 1976, on
November 30, 1976, on January 2, 1982, and most recently amended on December 13, 1994,
(ii) the River Valley Redevelopment Plan for the River Valley Redevelopment Project, which was
adopted by the City Council on November 29, 1983, and thereafter amended on January 23, 1990,
and most recently amended on December 13, 1994, (iii) the Plaza Redevelopment Plan for the
Plaza Redevelopment Project, which was adopted by the City Council on June 13, 1990, and most
recently amended on December 13, 1994, (iv) the Commercial/Industrial Redevelopment Plan for
the Commercial/Industrial Redevelopment Project, which was adopted by the City Council on
December 21, 1993 and most recently amended on December 13, 1994~ (v) the Brookhurst
Redevelopment Plan for the Brookhurst Redevelopment Project, which was adopted by the
City Council on December 7, 1993 and most recently amended on December 13, 1994, and
(vi) the Anaheim Stadium Redevelopment Plan for the Anaheim Stadium Redevelopment Project,
which was adopted by the City. Council by on August 9, 1994 (collectively, all of the foregoing
Redevelopment Plans and Redevelopment Project Areas are herein referred to as the
"Redevelopment Plans" and the "Project Areas"); and
WHEREAS, the California Legislature by Assembly Bill 1290, Statutes 1993, chapter 942
("AB 1290"), amended the CRL, and, particularly in relation to this Resolution, Section 33490 was
added to the CRL, and the Legislature by Senate Bill 732, Statutes 1994, chapter 936, as
supplemental legislation to AB 1290, made minor modifications to Section 33490, which
Section 33490 provides in part that prior to the end of 1994 every agency was required to prepare,
consider, and adopt an implementation plan for each project area (and such legislation permitted
one implementation plan for two or more project areas); and
