REGULAR MEETING OF APRIL 4, 2017
The Anaheim Housing Authority regular meeting was called to order at 5:11 P.M. in City Council
Chambers located at 200 S. Anaheim Blvd. for a joint public comment session with the Anaheim
City Council. The meeting notice, agenda, and related materials were duly posted on March 31,
2017.
PRESENT: Vice Chairman James Vanderbilt and Authority Members: Denise Barnes, Jose F.
Moreno, Lucille Kring, and Stephen Faessel.
ABSENT: Chairman Tom Tait and Authority Member Kris Murray.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Paul Emery, Acting City Attorney Kristin Pelletier and
Secretary Linda Andal.
ADDITIONS/DELETIONS TO THE AGENDA: None.
PUBLIC COMMENTS:
No public comments offered related to the Housing Authority agenda.
CONSENT CALENDAR: At 6:54 P.M., Authority Member Kring moved to approve the consent
calendar as presented, seconded by Authority Member Faessel. APPROVED VOTE: 5-0
(Ayes: Vice Chairman Vanderbilt and Authority Members Barnes, Moreno, Kring, and Faessel;
Absent: Chairman Tait and Authority Member Murray). Motion carried.
AHA177 1. Approve Anaheim Housing Authority's Annual Public Housing Agency Plan for Fiscal
Year 2017-2018, and authorize the Executive Director, or designee, to execute required
certifications and related documents as required by the Department of Housing and
Urban Development.
AHA177 2 Approve revisions to the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Plan to
incorporate changes that govern the calculation of rental subsidy, the timing of when
employment income will be counted towards rent calculation, and how long assisted
families may be absent from their assisted unit (proposed revisions reduce program
costs in order to serve as many eligible families as possible).
