RESOLUTION NO. ARA89-15
A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY CONSENTING TO A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON
THE PROPOSED FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE
REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE RIVER VALLEY
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT, AUTHORIZING THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A DATE, TIME AND PLACE
THEREFOR, AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION AND MAILING
OF NOTICE OF SUCH JOINT PUBLIC HEARING, AND
DIRECTING THE ANAHEIM COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION TO SUBMIT THE PROPOSED FIRST
AMENDMENT TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim (the
"Council") has heretofore adopted a Redevelopment Plan for the
River Valley Redevelopment Project (the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency (the
"Agency") has prepared a proposed First Amendment to the
Redevelopment Plan for the Project, which proposed First
Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan conforms to the requirements
of the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety
Code, Section 33000 et seq.); and
WHEREAS, the Agency desires to submit the proposed
First Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan to the Planning
Commission of the City of Anaheim for its report and
recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the California Community Redevelopment Law
authorizes a joint public hearing on the proposed First
Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan, with the Consent of this
Agency, the Council and the Anaheim Community Redevelopment
Commission (the "Commission").
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency, as follows:
1. The Agency hereby consents to a joint public
hearing with the Council and the Commission on the proposed
First Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan, and further, hereby
requests that the Council and the Commission consent to a joint
public hearing on the proposed First Amendment to the
Redevelopment Plan.
2. The Agency hereby directs the Executive Director
of the Agency (or his or her designee) to set the date, time and

place for the joint public hearing on the proposed First
Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan.
3. The Executive Director of the Agency (or his or
her designee) shall, in cooperation with the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim, publish and mail notice of public hearing on
the proposed First Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan, in the
manner, and with other documents as required and established by
law.
4. The Executive Director of the Agency (or his or
her designee) is hereby authorized and directed to transmit the
proposed First Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan to the
Commission. The Commission shall submit the proposed First
Amendment to the Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim for
its report and recommendation as provided by law.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency this 7th day of November
1989.
