1. CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Mother Colony House Advisory Board was held on
Friday, November 1, 1996 in the Conference Room of the Anaheim Public
Library. As there was a quorum present, the meeting was called to order at 10:17
A.M. by Chairperson Peggy Hoag.
2. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING
The minutes of the September 6, 1996 meeting were read and approved as mailed
by general consent.
3. REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE
The Federation of Orange County Historical Organizations Newsletter for
July/August/September 1996 was circulated among the board members.
4. REPORT OF THE LIBRARY LIAISON
Jane Newell reported the statistics for September and October 1996. There were
12 groups touring the Mother Colony House with a total of 327 visitors. The
History Room had 3 tours for 89 visitors, 320 patrons and 1,873 questions.
Jane distributed copies of a memorandum dated October 7, 1996 to the Anaheim
City Clerk recommending reappointment for Harold Bastrup, Dixie Edwards and
Peggy Hoag to the Advisory Board for another four years, ending December 31,
2000.
Jane also reported that she has a computer with Microsoft software, internet
access and Anaheim Public Library online catalog access on her desk in the
History Room.

5. OLD BUSINESS
By general consent, the meeting was recessed at 10:50 A.M. to reconvene at the
Mother Colony House at 414 N. West Street. The members were given a tour of
the property by Jane Newell, including the legal boundaries as marked by the City
Surveyor.
6. NEW BUSINESS
There was no new business.
7. ITEMS OF PUBLIC INTEREST
There were no items of public interested presented.
8. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 11:12 A.M. at the Mother Colony House.
