RA2003/03/04 ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MEETING MARCH 4, 2003 161 123 161 The Anaheim Redevelopment Agency met in regular session. Present: Chairman Curt Pringle and Agency Members Tom Tait, Shirley McCracken, Bob Hernandez and Richard Chavez. Staff Present: City Manager David Morgan, City Attorney Jack White, Secretary Sheryll Schroeder, Executive Director of Community Development, Elisa Stipkovich. A copy of the agenda for the meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency was posted on February 28, 2003 at the City Hall outside bulletin board. Chairman Pringle called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency to order at 5:21 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the Anaheim City Hall, 200 South Anaheim Boulevard. ADDITIONS/DELETIONS TO THE AGENDA: None. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None. CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS 1 - 2: Agency Member McCracken moved approval of Agency Consent Calendar Items 1 and 2, seconded by Agency Member Chavez. Motion carried unanimously. Approve a Conditional Loan Commitment, in an amount not to exceed $900,000, for the Cherry Orchard Senior Housing Project proposed by Anaheim Supportive Housing for Senior Adults, Inc. Approve minutes of the Redevelopment Agency meeting held January 28, 2003 and adjourned meeting held February 11, 2003. 5:00 p.m. Joint Public Hearing with the City Council (5:22 P.M.): To consider approving and authorizing the execution of the Sub-Sublicense/Sub- Sublease Agreement by and between G.D. Heil, Inc. and the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency and making certain findings in connection therewith. Executive Director of Community Development, Elisa Stipkovich, said as required by State law, anytime the Redevelopment Agency disposed of property, a hearing was required by both the Redevelopment Agency and Council. Community Development recommended subleasing a property that the Agency currently subleased from a group called Katella Operating Properties and it was the Southern California easement property along Anaheim Boulevard, she noted. The proposed sublease was to the adjacent property owner, developer, G.D. Heil, Inc., she said. It was for a small portion of the property that the Agency was currently subleasing and she said she believed it would be appropriate to accommodate their needs and enhance the property and adjacent business. She recommended that the Agency approve the long-term lease and ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MINUTES MARCH 4, 2003 PAGE 2 the initial market rate rent would be $5,000 per month, which was the same amount that the Agency was paying to Katella Operating Properties. Chairman Pringle opened the public hearing and hearing no testimony, closed the public hearing. Agency Member McCracken offered Resolution No. ARA2003-2 for adoption. RESOLUTION NO. ARA2003-2 RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM approving and authorizing the execution of the Sub-Sublicense/Sub-Sublease Agreement by and between G.D. Heil, Inc. and the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency and making certain findings in connection therewith. Roll call vote: Ayes - 5; Chairman Pringle, Agency Members Tait, McCracken, Hernandez and Chavez. Noes - 0. Motion carried. ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, Chairman Pringle moved to adjourn the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency, seconded by Agency Member McCracken.
