AHA-1988-005 RESOLUTION NO. AHA88- 5 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY DIRECTING THE . FILING AND ' POSTING OF PREVAILING RATES OF PER DIEM WAGES PERTAINING TO PUBLIC WORKS. WHEREAS, the Anaheim Housing Authority may award contracts for the construction of "public works" as defined in Section 1720 of the Labor Code; and WHEREAS, Section 1774 of the Labor Code requires contractors and subcontractors on public works projects to pay workmen not less than the prevailing rates of wages; and WHEREAS, Section 1770 requires the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations to determine, the prevailing rate of per diem wages; and . WHEREAS, the Director has determined the prevailing rate of per diem wages; and WHEREAS, all public bodies are required to either: - (a) specify the- prevailing rates of per diem wages in ,the`,call-"for bids, the bid specifications, and the public works contrac-tJ-tself; or • (b) refer to copies of the prevailing rate of per diemwages^on file in the office of the awarding body if a copy of said74ates is posted at each jobsite. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim Housing .Authority does hereby direct the Secretary of the Authority to cause to be filed in the office of the Secretary the schedule of prevailing rates of per diem wages as determined by the Director of Industrial Relations marked as Exhibit "A," attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that. the Executive Director of the Anaheim Housing Authority be, and he is hereby, directed to post, or cause to be posted, a copy of this resolution at each jobsite.
