AHA-1988-009 RESOLUTION NO. AHA88-9
A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY
APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDS UNDER SECTION
8 OF TITLE II OF THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974.
WHEREAS , the City of Anaheim has adopted a Housing
Assistance Plan, which plan is a part of the City of Anaheim ' s
application for Title I Community Development Block Grant under
the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 ; and
WHEREAS , said Housing Assistance Plan reflects , as a
three ( 3) year goal , two thousand ( 2 , 000) units of existing
housing to be funded under Section 8 of Title II ofthe Housing
and Community Development Act of 1974 ; and
�'. WHEREAS , there are one thousand seven hundred
thirty-seven (1 , 737) units of existing housing remaining to be
funded under Section 8 to achieve the three (3) year goal of the
Housing Assistance Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS , the Department of Housing and Urban Development
has designated the Housing Voucher Program under the 'sSec.tion 8
Voucher Program ; and
WHEREAS , the Department of Housing and Urban Development
has units available to be funded under the Section= 8 _Voucher
Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim- Housing
Authority does approve the submission of an application for
ninety-one (91) Housing Vouchers to the Department of Housing and
(—_ Urban Development for funding under Section 8 of Title II and
authorizing the Executive Director to accept the maximum unit
allocation granted by the Department of Housing and Urban
Development should additional funds become available within limits
of the Housing Assistance Plan.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
Anaheim Housing Authority this' loth day of May, 1988.
