A i~SOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED
UP TO THE HOUR OF 2:00 O'CLOCK P.M. ON
SEPTEMBER 10, 1964, FOR JOB NO. 1302 AND
DIPJECTING THE CITY CLERK TO RE-ADVERTISE
SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT.
t~REAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 18th day of August,
1964, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolu-
tion No. 64R-611 finding and determining that public convenience
and necessity required the construction and completion of a
public improvement, to wit: the Brookhurst Street sewer improve-
ment, from Ball Road to approximately 918 feet north of Ball
Road, in the City of Anaheim, Job No. 1302; and
WR~i~AS, the City Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice according ~o law inviting sealed
proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services,
materials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation,
including power, fuel and water and performing all work neces-
sary to construct and complete said public improvement, and
fixing the 10th day of September, 1964 at the hour of 2:00 o'clock
P.M. as the date and hour for ~he opening of said bids in the
~ouncil Chamber in the Ciny Hall, in the City of Anaheim; and
IFHEREAS, upon said 10th day of September,~1964, at the
hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and the City Engineer
did open ail bids received up to that hour, in public, in the
City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did
tabulate ail bids so received and did report the result thereof
to the City Council at its next regular meeting held on the 15th
day of September, 1964~ and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that all bids received
are in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost
of said public improvement, and that said bids should be rejected
and said job re-advertised.
NOW, THEREFOKE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that all bids received up to the hour of
2:00 o'clock P.M. on September 10, 1964, tabulated by the City
Engineer~ and submitted to the Council on September 15, 1964
for the construction~ installation and completion of the following
public improvement, to wit: the Brookhurst Street sewer improve-
ment, from Ball Road to approximately 918 feet north of Ball
Road, in the City of Anaheim, Job No. 1302, be, and the same are
hereby rejected; and that the City Clerk be and she is hereby
directed to re-advertise said public improvement.
