SE~gD PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THE~OF.
WHEREAS~ public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
o~ Anah~i.m~, to wit~
The Improvement of Citron Street, from Lincoln Avenue
to Broadway, in the City of Anaheim, consisting of ex-
cavation, including haulaway and disposal; construction
of 3-inch A.C. pavement, including paint binder, fog
seal coat and saw cutting, 6-inches of aggregate base,
Y.C.C. items, removal of P.C.C. pavement and other P.C.C.
items, including saw cutting, haulaway and disposal;
adjustment of manholes and water valve boxes to grade;
relocation of a traffic signal, pull box and a wood
bumper, and appurtenant work as more particularly set
forth in the plans and specifications on file in the
Office of the City Clerk or City Engineer, Job No. 859.
AND WPJ~REAS~ the City Council. instructed the Public
W r_W_~k.s D_~pa~_ment to prepare detailed ~
~]-~ ~r~files-~ drawings an-~specifications~ and estimates of
quantir~ies and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement~ and
WHEREAS ~ said Pu~bl~i~c Wo_rks__D_e_p_~rtment ~ has
prepared said detailed d~-~ign~ plans~ Profiles, drawings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submit, t.ad the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS~ the City Council finds that the detailed
designs~ plans~ profiles~, drawings and specifications for said
'public improvement above mentioned~ are in accordance with good
engineering pract~ice an~ are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and resi~
dents in said area for the purposes for which they are intended,
and that they are adequate for the construction of said public
improvement and should be approved°
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications for said public improve-
me~.t hereinabove mentioned and described, be, and the same
are hereby, approved and adopted as prepared by said Public

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improve-
merit shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as
Drapared by said Public Works Department and hereby
approved~ and such addenda or modifications thereto as may be
~'pproved prior to the awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed
~ publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including
power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to
ccr~struct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in
~tric~ accordance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles,
~r~wings and specifications as prepared by said Public
Works Department , the public improvement hereinabove
~_ti'~d 'and described, and fixing the 4~h day of
June , 19 64 , at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as
~~~ an~ hour f~e opening of said bids at the City
C~u~.cii Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
~h~t said notice shall be published twice, the first of which
t~biications shall, be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
~i~ed for the opening of bids, and that said publications
~i. 1 be at least five (5) days apart.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful
b:~dder or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract
~i~h the City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by
t,~e City Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction,
ir:stallation and completion of said public improvement herein-
above mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans
~nd specifications prepared by said Public Works Department
~h.e '~otice inviting sealed proposals, this resolution and afl
.~,pp!.icable City Ordinances or Code Sections and the laws of the
State of California, and shall be required to post bonds and
i'~surance in the amounts and within the time required by law,
~..~ specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and in
~, form approved by the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
