RESOLUTION NO. 64t-300
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF A~NAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXE-
CUTION OF AN AGREEPfENT WITH THE COUNTY OF
ORANGE WITH REFERENCE TO THE I~iPROVEMENT OF
PORTIONS OF JEFFERSON STREET.
WHEREAS, a portion of the existing roadway on Jeffer-
son Street northerly of Rogue Drive is unimproved; and

the County of Orange, but is contiguous with a proposed improve-
ment of Jefferson Street by the City of Anaheim; and
~,~EREAS, the City has offered to design, contract and
inspect the improvement of said portion of roadway in conjunc-
tion with its work under the proposed improvement of Jefferson
Street; and
~.~EREAS, the City of Anaheim and the County of Orange
consider it in the best interest of economics and public safety
to combine the construction of said portion of improvement with
the City's jefferson Street improvement project, and desire to
enter into a contract for said combined construction; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange has tendered to the
City of Anaheim a form of agreement to be entered into by the
City and the County for the construction of said combined pro-
0ect, the terms and conditions of which the City Council finds
to be fair and reasonable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the agreement tendered to the City
of Anaheim by the County of Orange to be made and entered into
by the City and County for the combined construction of portions
of Jefferson Street, more particularly hereinbefore described,
upon the terms and conditions set forth in said agreement, and
as hereinafter set forth, be and the same is hereby approved.
That said terms and conditions are as follows:
i. THE CITY OF ~iNAHEIM SHALL:

Be designated as Project Engineer, Contract-
ing and Construction Agent for the parties to
do and perform all things necessary in order
to construct approximately 9040 square feet
of pavement from approximately 40 feet north
of the centeriine of Rogue Drive northerly
approximately 340 feet and 12 feet each side
of the centerline of Jefferson Street, plus
approximately 50 feet easterly along the
Riverside Freeway Access Road, being 24 feet
wide, all as more particularly delineated on
the City of Anaheim's Plan for Tract Number
4643, Plan Number 5922: And shall execute
and deliver all documents required in connec-
tion with the construction and completion of
said project including Certificate of Cost
and Certificate of Completion of Project.

b. During the period of construction have juris-
diction over the construction area including
that portion described above within County
territory.
THE COUNTY OF ORANGE SH~, at all time during the
progress of construction of said portion of road-
way on Jefferson Street, have access to the work
thereon for the purpose of inspection thereof,
and should the County deem any remedial measures
to be necessary, the County shall notify the City
thereof.
The estimated cost of the construction of said
portion of pavement is approximately $2,000.00.
Upon completion of construction of said portion
of pavement, the City shall submit full, true
and correct copies of documents, certificates,
and itemized bills to the County and the County
shall reimburse the City within 30 days upon
submission of such costs. No costs shall be
charged against the County for engineering or
overhead.
The County's share of the construction cost shall
be determined on the basis of the amount of work
done on said portion of roadway lying within its
boundaries, as these boundaries exist at the time
of advertising the project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
,..-~e, and they are ~ereoy authorized to execute said agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
