A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED
UP TO THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON APRIL 9,
1964, FOR PUBLIC WORKS JOBS NOS. 789, 804
AND 807.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 17th day of March,
1964, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolu-
tion No. 64R-165 finding and determining that public convenience
and necessity required the construction and completion of a
public improvement consisting of the construction of concrete
masonry block walls at the Crescent & Gilbert Parksite, Job No.
789; Mattie Lou Maxwell Parksite, Job No. 807; and Sunkist &
Underhill Parksite, Job No. 804, in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed
proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services,
materials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation,
including power, fuel and water and performing all work neces-
sary to construct and complete said public improvement, and
fixing the 9th day of April, 1964 at the hour of 2:00 o'clock
P.M. as the date and hour for the opening of said bids in the
Council Chamber in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, upon said 9th day of April, 1964, at the
hours of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and the City Engineer
did open all bids received up to that hour, in public, in the
City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did
tabulate all bids so received and did report the result thereof
to the City Council at its next regular meeting held on the 14th
day of April, 1964; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that all bids received
are in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost
of said public improvement, and that said bids should be
rejected.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that all bids received up to the hour of
2:00 o'clock P.M. on April 9, 1964, tabulated by the City
Engineer, and submitted to the Council on April 14, 1964, for
the construction of concrete masonry block walls at the Crescent
& Gilbert Parksite, Job No. 789; Mattie Lou Maxwell Farksite,
Job No. 807; and Sunkist & Underhill Parksite, Job No. 804, in
the City of Anaheim, be, and the same are hereby rejected.
