RESOLUTION NO. 64R-227
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE JOINT CONSTRUCTION
AND INSTALLATION WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
OF A TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL SYSTEM AND HIGHWAY
LIGHTING AT THE INTERSECTION-OF ROMNEYA DRIVE
WITH STATE HIGHWAY ROUTE VII-ORA-2-ANA (HARBOR
BOULEVARD) WITHIN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ~AND
PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF A PORTION OF THE
COST THEREOF BY THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the State of California and the City of
Anaheim contemplate the joint installation of a traffic con-
trol signal system and highway lighting at the intersection
of Romneya Drive with State Highway Route VII-Ora-2-Ana (Har-
bor Boulevard) within the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the State and City desire to enter into
an agreement for the construction and installation of said
signal system and highway lighting, to arrange for the
maintenance functions that are to be performed by the State,
and to specify the proportionate share of the costs that are
to be borne by the City and the State, as more particu-
larly set forth in the form of agreement submitted to the
City by the State, entitled ~'Agreement f/1606."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the agreement entitled "Agreement
#1606," submitted to the City of Anaheim by the State of Cali-
fornia, Department of Public Works, Division of Highways, to
be made and entered into by and between the City and the
State, for the joint construction and installation of a
traffic control signal system and highway lighting at the
intersection of Romneya Drive with State Highway Route VII-
Ora-2-Ana (Harbor Boulevard), within the City of Anaheim,
upon the terms and conditions therein set forth, be, and
the same is hereby approved; and that the Mayor and City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to execute said agree-
ment for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City shall pay its
share of the costs of construction and installation of said
traffic control signal system and highway lighting as pro-
vided in said agreement, and estimated to be the sum of
$7,900, the actual amount to be determined after award and
completion of the construction contract, and shall also pay
its share of the cost of general maintenance and operation
of said traffic control signal system and highway lighting
in the manner provided in that agreement for maintenance
of State Highways in the City which is in effect at the time
said costs arise.
