RESOLUTION NO. 64R- 215
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO
CONSOLIDATE THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CHARTER
ELECTION TO BE HELD JUNE 2, 1964, WITH
STATEWIDE PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE HELD
ON SAME DATE.
WHEREAS, this City Council has c~enced proceedings
for the calling of a charter election in the City of Anaheim
to be held on June 2, 1964, for the purpose of submitting to
the qualified voters of the City of Anaheim a proposition for
the adoption and ratification of a charter as hereinafter in
this resolution set forth; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that said charter election
be consolidated with the statewide p~mimary election to be
held on the same date and that within the City of Anaheim
the precincts, polling places and election officers of the
two elections be the same, and that the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Orange canvass the returns of the city
charter election and that said statewide primary election
and city charter election be held in all respects as if there
were only one election;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Anaheim does hereby resolve, determine and order as follows:
Section 1. That the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Orange be and it is hereby requested to consolidate
the charter election to be held in the City of Anaheim on
June 2, 1964, with the statewide primary election to be held
on said date.
Section 2. The exact form of the question or pro-
position to be voted upon at said charter election as it
shall appear on the ballot is as follows:

Said proposition shall be designated on the ballot
by a letter printed on the left margin of the square contain-
ing the description of the measure, as provided in .Section
10~31 of the Elections Code of the State of California.

Section 3. Said Board of Supervisors is hereby
authorized to canvass the returns of said city charter
election which it is hereby requested to consolidate with
said statewlde primary election and said election shall be
held in all respects as if there were only one election,
and only one form of ballot shall be used.
Section 4. Said Board of Supervisors is hereby
requested to issue instructions to the County Clerk to take
any and all steps necessary for the holding of said con-
solidated election.
Section 5. The City of Anaheim recognizes that
additional costs will be incurred by the County by reason
of this consolidation and agrees to reimburse the County
for any such costs and the City further recognizes the
additional work occasioned for the election officials and
is willing to make such arrangements aa =e deemed appropriate
by the Board of Supervisors for providing additional compensa-
tion to the election officials.
Section 6. That the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this
resolution with the Board of Supervisors and the County
Clerk of the County of Orange.
THE F. OREGOING RESOLUTION is hereby approved and
signed by me this 31st day of March, 19,~64.
