A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO
THE GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATED AS AMENDMENT
NO~ ~
WHEREAS~ the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim has heretofore duly passed and adopted a resolution
commending denial of an amendment to the General Plan in the
general location and vicinity of the property described in
Reclassification Proceedings NOo ~6~-64-6_~ .... and being
generally bounded byg Orangewood Avenue on the north, the north-
east corner being the intersection of Manchester Avenue and
Orangewood Avenue; thence extending southerly in an oval shape
on the east side of Lewis Street to the intersection of the City
Limits Line and Lewis Street; thence extending northerly in an
oval shape on the west side of Lewis Street and ending at a
point near the intersection of Spinnaker Street and Orangewood
Avenue,
and comprising approximately 20 acres~ as shown and described
on Exhibit "A" on file in ~ Planning Departmen.t, after
having held a p~ic hearing zn the manner and as prescribed by
law to consider said proposed amendment~ and after having rem
ceived evidence and reports from persons interested therein; and
WHEREAS~ following the hearing thereon~ the Planning
Commission did duly announce by formal resolution its findings
of facts and declare its opinions and reasons for recommending
denial of said amendment to the General, Plan~ designated as
Amendment NO o 3 ~ and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said resolution~ summary of
evidence~ report of finding$~ and recommendation of the City
Planning Commission~ the City Council, did fix the 17th day of
March 1964 ~$ the time and the CouncilOr in
Hall'of t e~~ty of Anaheim as the place for a public
hearing upon said propcged Amendmen~ NOo 3 to the General
Plan and did give notice thereof in the manner an-~ as provided
by law~ and
WHEREAS~ at~ the time and place fixed for said public
hearing~ the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an oppor-
tunity to be heard and did receive evidence and reports and
did thereupon consider the. recommendations of the City Planning
Commis$ion~ and
WHEREAS~ the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment NOo 3 to the General Plan~ encompassing the afore-
mentioned and ~y described property included within the
proposed amendment to the General Plan~ as shown on Exhibit
"A" ~ on file in the City Planning Department~ should be
approv~~
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Amendment No o 3 to the General
Plan~ encompassing the aforementioned ang-~-~~rally described
property~ as shown on said Exhibit "A" be~ and the same
is hereby approved o - '- ·
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be,
and it is hereby instructed~ to amend the General Plan Map to
conform to General Plan Amendment No° 3 herein approved°
