WHEREAS~ public convenience and necessity require the
const~"uction and completion of a public improvement in the City

The Construction of Lighting and Power Distribution
Systems for the Loara High School Tennis Courts
at 1765 W. Cerritos Avenue, in the City of Anaheim,
and all appurtenant work as more particularly set
forth in the plans and specifications on file in the
Office of the City Clerk or City Engineer, Job No. 777.
g~D WPfEREAS, the City Council instructed__the Public
Works Department to prepare detailed designs~
~~~ ~g~-'~rawings an~specifications~ and estimates of
quanti~ies and co~t~:~ and make y~ecessary surveys for the con-
struction o~ sai~ public improvement~ and
WHEREAS~ said Public Works Dej~a~tme_nt__ has
prepared said detailed d~sign~ ~]ans~ Profiles, drawings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted ~he same to the City Council~ and
WHEREAS~ the City Council :finds that the detailed
designs~ plans~ profiles~ drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned~ are in accordance with good
~ngineering practice an~ are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and nhe citizens and resi~
den~s in said area for the purposes for Which they are intended,
and that ~hey are adequate for nhe construction of said public
improvement and should be approved°
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
c.f the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans,
profiles~ drawings amd specifications for said public improve-
~emt h~reinabove mentioned and described, be, and the same
ars hereby, approved and adopted as prepared by said Public
Works Department o
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improve-
ment shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as
~.e.a~ed by said Public Works Department and hereby
~pproved, and such addenda or modifications thereto as may be
zpproved prior to the awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
Ci~ of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed
~ ~ab!ish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of all. plant, labor, services, materials and
e, qui. pment~ and all utilities and transportation, including
powe~r, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to
cor~struct and complete, ir~ a good and workmanlike manner, in
~trict accordance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles,
c~aw~ngs and specifications as prepared by said Public
Works Depa~rtment , the public improvement '~e'~'einabove
~i~'~n. ed' and described and fixing the 26th day of
March '
, 19 64 , at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as
~mte and h-~ir for-~e opening of said bids at the City
Ccup~cii Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
~'b~at said ~.otice shall, be published twice, the first of which
t~'oblications shall, be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
f'ixed for the opening of bids, and that said publications
~1 be at least five (5) days apart.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful
~dder or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract
wi~?.~ the City of Anaheim ir~ the manner and form approved by
'the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction,
ir~sr, allation and completiop~ of said public improvement herein-
above mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans
and specifications prepared by said Public Works Det)artramnt
the :notice inviting sealed proposals, this resoluti6n and all
~F,p~!.Lcable City Ordinances or Co, de Sections and the laws of the
Sra~e of California, and shall be required to post bonds and
i~surance in the amou'~ts an~d within the time required by law,
a~ specified in the notice invit~ing sealed proposals, and in
a form approved by the City Attorney.
