A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
WITH ANAHEIM CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT WITH REFERENCE
TO THE P1WDUCTION AND SHOWING OF VIDEOTAPES IN
THE MEDICAL SELF-HELP PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, Title 1, Division 7, Chapter 5, Article 1 of
the Government Code of the State of California authorizes public
agencies to enter into agreements with one another; and
WHEHEAS, the City of Anaheim desires to cooperate with
and assist the Federal Government and the State of California in
preparing the citizens of Anaheim to survive in time of a national
disaster; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is conducting classes for
the public in the techniques necessary for survival in time of
disaster; and
WHEREAS, a valuable and desirable aid in teaching such
classes is closed circuit television; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim City School District has the
necessary equipment and personnel to produce magnetic videotapes
and show them on closed circuit television to said classes; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the Anaheim City School
District desire to enter into a contract for the utilization of
said District's personnel and facilities in the production and
showing of said videotapes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that an agreement be made and entered into
with said Anaheim City School District embodying substantially
the following terms and conditions:
1. The School District shall provide the necessary
facilities, training aids for use in the studio, and
necessary qualified personnel to prepare a television
script from Medical Self-help Lessons furnished by
the City, for use on closed circuit television.
2. The School District shall videotape twelve ~-hour
programs.
3. The scripts shall be approved by the City prior to
taping.
4. The School District shall retain possession of the
tapes for the purpose of storing them in a suitable
location; provided, however, that the School
District shall not be responsible for damage to the
tapes, except to the extent that it shall use
reasonable care in storing said tapes.
5. The City shall pay to said District $4,400.00 for
the twelve tapes on the basis that $l,IOO.OO will
be paid for each three tapes which are completed,
upon acceptance of said tapes by the City.

6. Upon completion of the tapes by the School District
and payment by the City for said tapes, the City
shall receive all right, title and interest to said
tap e s .
7. The City shall provide administrative and super-
visorial help to the School District in the form of
acquainting Anaheim City School District personnel
with the Medical Self-help Training Program.
8. The City shall provide instructors for each one-half
hour program videotaped by the School District.
9. The term of said agreement shall be from the 1st day
of December, 1963, to the 15th day of June, 1964.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized to execute said agreement for and
on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
