A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
FINDING THAT THE USE OF TAXES ALLOCATED FROM THE
BROOKHURST COMMERCIAL CORRIDOR REDEVELOPMENT
PROJECT FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING AND INCREASING THE
COMMUNITY'S SUPPLY OF LOW AND MODERATE INCOME
HOUSING OUTSIDE THE PROJECT AREA WILL BE OF BENEFIT TO
THE PROJECT
WHEREAS, thc Anaheim Rcdcv¢lopmcnt Agency has prepared a proposed Redevelopment Plan for thc
Brookhurst Commercial Corridor Redevelopment Project which would result in the allocation of taxes from the
Project Area to thc Anaheim Redevelopment Agency for purposes of redevelopment; and
WHEREAS, Section 33334.2 of the California Community Redevelopment Law (I-Icalth and Safcty
Code Section 33000 et seq.) requires that not less than 20 pcrccnt of all taxes so allocated bc used by the Agency
for the purposes of improving and increasing the community's supply of low and moderate income housing
available at affordable housing cost, unless ce~.~in findings are made; and
~rHEREAS, Section 33334.2(g) of thc Health and Safety Code provides that the Agency may use such
funds outside the Project Area if a finding is made by resolution of the Agency and the City Council that such
use will be of benefit to the Project.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT FOUND AND RESOLVED BY THE ANAHEIM
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AS FOLLOWS:
That the use of taxes allocated from the Brookhurst Commercial Corridor Redevelopment Project for the
purposes authorized in the California Community Redevelopment Law and related to improving and increasing
the community's supply of low and moderate income housing available at affordable costs outside the Project
Area and within the City of Anaheim will be of benefit to the Project.
