A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE CHANGE
ORDERS ON AGENCY BID PROJECTS AND PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, redevelopment agencies are authorized to undertake work of
grading, clearing, demolition, rehabilitation, site development, installation of street utilities,
parks, playgrounds and other work authorized pursuant to Community Redevelopment law
(Health and Safety Code section 33000, et seq. ("Public Works"); and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency") is engaged
and will engage in the future various contractors to perform Public Works of benefit to the
Agency's redevelopment project areas; and
WHEREAS, change orders to Public Works contracts which increase or
decrease the amount and type of work as well as the Agency's cost of a public work are
frequently necessary and desirable in order to carry out the Agency's redevelopment of its
project areas; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that the authority be delegated to the
Executive Director to approve change orders with the concurrence of the Director of Public
Works/City Engineer.
NOW THEREFORE, THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY does
resolve as follows:
1) The Executive Director of the Agency is hereby authorized to approve in
writing any change order to a Public Works contract wherein the cost of the Public Works to
the Agency will remain unchanged or will decrease; and
2) The Executive Director of the Agency with the concurrence of the
Director of Public Works/City Engineer is hereby further authorized to approve, in wdting,
chan~je orders to a Public Works contract wherein the total cost to the Agency of all change
orders cumulatively within a single Public Works contract does not exceed ten thousand
dollars ($10,000).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the Anaheim
